Lierac Démaquillant Pureté review

Hi girls,

Lierac Démaquillant Pureté Face Wash

I wanted to do a review of a new face wash I recently discovered.

I've been getting more into quality face washes lately, but what is quality?

Does expensive mean better quality? And how much are you willing to spend on a face wash while a piece of face soap can do the work?

Well, I like a face wash to have a few qualifications:

- Easy foam

- Clean and practical bottle

- Leaving skin soft and clean

- Make skin better over time

It's hard to find a good face foam at the drugstore. Nivea has one, and so does Clearasil. But the Nivea one doesn't foam at all (I tried it) and who wants Clearisil on their counter at the age of 27? Plus, we all know Clearasil doesn't work either, right, although it does foam pretty good? But then the chemical smell...Then I tried the nature store. Not many natural brands risk producing face products. I do see a lot of bath and body products! Zarqa was the only brand that was selling a face wash. It was only 10 euros, same as Nivea and cheaper than Clearasil and foamed well. But it wasn't improving my skin.

So where could I buy a good face foam? I want to the perfumerie and checked out Clinique, Estée Lauder,... it all seemed way too expensive for washing down the drain, and what proof did I have? I needed something a little more scientific... wait why didn't I think of this before? I should go to the pharmacy! These days pharmacies sell pretty looking brands with cosmetics in all shapes and colors. My favourite brands are Lierac and Caudalie. Their products are very pure and beautiful to look at. Plus, they usually smell lovely, have a decades old reputation and aren't hard on my wallet.

There, at the pharmacy, I could chose between many different brand of face wash all in pretty and neat bottles. I bought some Louis Widmer face wash and some by Lierac. I wanted to pink bottle from Lierac but it was sold out, so I got the green one, a make-up removing face wash.

The liquid is very concentrated. I could easily last two months with this bottle. That sort of makes up for the little extra I'm paying compared to drugstore products. I'm climbing my way up in the beauty food chain! Soon I won't have to put a foot in a chaotic drugstore ever again!

One pump is enough, and it foams very easily in the ends, turning into a creamy thick foam. It spreads on my moist face easily and when I rinse my skin is left clean, fresh and not dehydrated.

I love this product!

There are a few other products in this line. The great thing is that they all come in the same handy pump but in different colors so your bathroom can look pretty colourful, clean and streamlined at the same time.

There is an oily makeupremover, a tonic, a makeup remover cream for eyes, a miccelar water and of course a face wash.

The products cost around 15 euros, which I think is very reasonable.
