Law School Ain't So Bad Nowadays

The fangirls at 24 Headquarters have just reported that Georgetown Law will be offering a class called "The Law of '24'" in the spring of 2008. The course catalog elaborates:

This course provides a detailed understanding of a very wide-range of U.S. domestic and international legal issues concerning counterterrorism in the context of the utilitarian and sometimes desperate responses to terrorism raised by the plot of 24. Course requirements include active classroom discussion and a paper of approximately 25 pages.

I know people who have compared the law school experience to the Salem witch trials, but, with more classes like this, students will pretty soon be skating their way towards their law degrees.

While we contemplate 24 at law school, I want to use this opportunity to remind you how absurd the Japanese can sometimes be. Just look at the above photo of a made-in-Japan 24 toy—Jack Bauer and...a metallic 24 bear!

Um...what the fuck?!
